Forbes is an explosive power pitcher with an upper-90s fastball that touches 100 mph and a high-spin sweeping slider. After transitioning to a full-time pitcher where he led the ACC in strikeouts per nine innings, he sustained a flexor tendon injury in spring training. He made his professional debut on a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League before joining the High-A Hillsboro Hops.
