Chasing Azzi. Unboxing a 026 Leaf Metal Women Of Sport Hobby Box

Not every sealed box is going to drop a headline monster, and 2026 Leaf Metal Women of Sports is a prime example of how product variance hits the breaking table. When a box whiffs on the top names in the checklist, you’re left relying on parallel scarcity, design tech, and prospect depth to hold the floor.

Fortunately, Leaf delivered on visual presentation—the Hear Me Roar insert line stands out as one of the sharpest layouts in the entire product and all year.

Here is the straightforward breakdown of how our box landed.

The Front-Office Save: Jeanie Buss "Showtime" (10/10)

A front-office autograph usually doesn't create huge waves at the table, but the Jeanie Buss Base Silver Prismatic Autograph delivered a major exception. Stamped as the 10/10 bookend copy, Buss added a hand-written "Showtime" inscription across the metal stock. Tying the Lakers president directly to NBA dynasty lore turns a niche executive card into a genuinely cool basketball display piece.

WNBA Talent & National #1 Prospects

• Lauren Betts // Base Silver Crystal (5/5): On the parallel side, pulling Washington Mystics top-4 selection Lauren Betts short-printed to just 5 copies gives the box a strong current WNBA presence.
• Kate Harpring // Metal On-Card White Prismatic Auto (19/25): The consensus #1 ranked recruit in the 2026 class. Getting clean, on-card signature ink from the top high school player in the nation provides solid long-term prospective upside.

Track, Combat, and Media Parallels

Former UFC contender Michelle Waterson-Gomez caught the short-printed Pink Prismatic treatment (3/6) on the sharp Hear Me Roar layout, while Clemson distance runner Makenzie Steele claimed the true 1-of-1 Black Prismatic autograph slot. To top off the non-auto parallel stack, back-to-back 1-of-1 Lava hits landed for Lily Fenton and ESPN anchor Laura Rutledge, alongside a 4/4 Pink Crystal bookend of volleyball standout Caleigh Haetten.

Final Thoughts

It was a middle-of-the-road rip that missed the massive chase autos, but an inscribed "Showtime" bookend, a /5 of a WNBA center, and some amazing new designs provided enough substance to make it a fun unboxing.
